Pertanika Journal of Physical Education and Sports (PJPES) is committed to upholding and advancing the standards of scholarly publishing for publishers, editors, and authors. This approach is aligned with the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) commencing 2018. Accordingly, the PJPES Ethics and Misconduct Statement ensures that all parties adhere to the principles of academic integrity, transparency, and professional responsibility in scholarly publishing. For more information, reference can be made to the International Standards for Editors and Authors issued by COPE. This statement follows a chronological order, starting from the research process (for authors), followed by the submission and editorial process (for editors), and the subsequent publication process.
COPYRIGHT STATEMENT AND POST PUBLICATION
Copyright violation is an important, and possibly related, ethical issue. Authors should check their manuscripts for possible breaches of copyright law (e.g., where permissions are needed for quotations, artwork or tables taken from other publications or from other freely available sources on the Internet) and secure the necessary permissions before submission to Pertanika Journal of Physical Education and Sports (PJPES).
Our Publisher, UPM Press and Faculty of Education Studies (FPP) holds the copyright to all published articles. The author(s) should submit the Pertanika’s Copyright Permission form to the Editor-In-Chief once the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
Authors must ask for permission to publish their article (or a selection from the article) elsewhere, such as a Pertanika article later appearing as a book chapter or as a translation.
